A group of young adults and myself went on a pilgrimage to Sacramento in order to prepare ourselves better for upcoming Holy Week. Present was Victor Sánchez from Ceres, Daniel Ochoa from the discernment house of the Capucins in Berkeley, Daniella Quiroz from Modesto, Tyson Murphy from Modesto, Adam Harker from Modesto, Marisol from Modesto, Stevie Vásquez from Keyes, Cameron Menezes from Modesto, and myself, Richard Braun. We were talking advantage of both a permanent exhibit on the Shroud of Turin and what Sacramento Bishop Jaime Soto's 7 parish pilgrimage for a plenary indulgence. What an amazing day!
We started the day with mass at the chapel of the nuns at St. Stanislaus at 7 AM. It was a great way to start the day, but was made even better when the Pastor of the parish where the majority of us attend, St. Joseph's, presided the mass and actually mentioned our pilgrimage in his homily. We were very surprised, as none of us had mentioned it to him.
We proceeded to IHOP for some great fellowship (far from quiet fellowship) and some good food.

One of the jokes we told were about how a camel sounds when you tickle it. The response is included in the video below. |
